Kathie 's Story
Life
Born in Berkeley. Parents divorced when I was four. Lived in my grandparents home down the street from the Rose Garden until I was 16 and my mother remarried and moved to the area Pioneer was located in. Married my high school sweetheart, Dave, in 1964 after one semester at San Jose State. Moved to Berkeley where my husband attended UC Berkeley, while I worked for Bank of America. Dave graduated in 1967 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Our son, Matt, was born in 1967. He is now married and I have 2 beautiful grandchildren who live nearby - what a blessing. We lived in Montclair in the Oakland Hills for 28 years. I finally had the opportunity to finish my degree at UC Berkeley in the Spring semester of 2003.

Roger and I have had quite a time in the brief period we've been married. Both good and bad experiences that you would expect in a marriage of many more years. Our focus has been on revisiting our youth and even though Roger has had 5 major surgeries and I've had one, we have managed to have a lot of fun in between. We've gone to France, Cancun twice, the French West Indies and other Caribbean islands, Kauai and the City many times for a few days, Bodega Bay and on and on. We have also gone to see Paul McCartney, John Foggarty, Neil Young, The Beach Boy, Brian Wilson, Huey Lewis, Chicago, and more. We are going to Wente for the Frankie Valli concert in August. Jersey Boys was amazing! We actually saw Frankie Valli at the Marin Memorial Center a couple of summers ago and what a show he put on! Best always, Kathie
